The school

The Andorf Technology School (HTBLA) is an educational institution in Andorf, Austria, which offers both a higher technical college and a technical college. Within the HTBLA, the focus is on ‘Materials and Environmental Technology’ and ‘Product Development & Technical Design’. The Fachhochschule, on the other hand, focuses on tool and jig making. Working closely together, we have created outstanding image films specifically for the HTBLA Materials and Environmental Technology and the University of Applied Sciences.

Planing

Two image films were planned that would highlight the school’s excellence and inspire potential students to choose the school. After extensive idea development and approval, we developed detailed scenarios for the films. We carefully planned the filming days to authentically capture every beautiful aspect of the school and create an inspiring image that would appeal to and motivate prospective students.

The production

The project was completed over a period of three days of shooting, followed by extensive post-production. Each day of shooting followed a detailed script, with particular attention paid to the involvement of the actors, as their authenticity was crucial to the persuasiveness of the project. The days of filming were therefore an intensive period in which we ensured that every aspect of the school was captured authentically and convincingly. In post-production, we focused on modern editing and engaging animation to capture the attention of a young audience. Every step, from planning the shoot to the final edit, was meticulously executed to ensure the films would best engage and inspire future students.

Why scripting is important

Planning an image film is essential as it lays the foundation for a successful project. It provides a clear vision, defines objectives and helps to make efficient use of resources. Through careful planning, important aspects such as message, target audience, storytelling and visual aesthetics can be worked out. This not only ensures consistent communication of the brand identity, but also minimises unforeseen problems during production. Solid planning provides a roadmap that ensures the final product communicates the desired message clearly and effectively.

The result of this comprehensive process was a series of powerful films that highlighted the school’s strengths. The carefully planned implementation over three days of filming allowed for authentic impressions to be captured and the dynamics of the school to be brought to life. The script placed a clear emphasis on the involvement of the actors to ensure conviction and credibility. Post-production included modern editing with engaging animation that effectively captures the attention of the target audience, especially young viewers. These films now serve as powerful tools for the school to attract potential students and showcase its unique qualities in an engaging way.
